As always seems to be the case, it's been a long time. But with spring coming up, I'm sure I'll have at the least some photos for you to look at. In the very near future (as in like...probably starting this weekend), I'll be working on "tattooing" one of my ball jointed dolls, so I may post up the in-progress shots and details here, rather than on the account I have set up for the pictures I take of them (which lately sees more action than this account does. If you're interested in seeing them, let me know and I'll send you over the link to it.).

In the meantime, things are...interesting. Sometime around the fall, I'll be moving downstairs to the main apartment of the house once my mom moves to North Carolina. I kind of have mixed feelings about it...despite the overwhelming smell of cat that we have to deal with currently, I like the apartment Autumn and I are in. The whole situation's just...a mess. An utter mess. But it is what it is, and at least I don't have to look for a new apartment.

I'm looking forward to tomorrow though...I finally get to get my hair fixed, and Autumn and I are gonna go down to the Bleeding Heart Bakery with some friends, so that'll be good.

Sorry for the ramblingness...just thoughts in passing that I wanted to push out of my head. *waves the "I'm still alive, you may go about your business" flag*

A survery why not?

This week needs to be over.

That is my official statement on the matter. I just can't take it any more.

Now that's just mean...

Why is it that the holidays bring out the worst in people? On the one hand, it looks like we've got a package thief working our house over. The current count is up to 4 packages taken, the contents being 2 sweaters, 3 plush Cars toys, and 3 Nintendo DS games - all of them gifts for other people. It's because of things like this that I have so little trust in people as a whole - people suck, as a general rule and are never to be trusted. You know what they say - hell is other people.

The sweaters have been replaced and are accounted for, the DS games are being reshipped, and the jury is still out on the plushies - cause there's nothing like stealing part of a 2-year-old's Christmas gift.

*sigh*

On the other hand though, I saw my first group of actual carolers ever earlier tonight. This is Chicago after all, and not overly prone to big public displays like that. So it was neat to see them out.

Still pissed about those packages though.... *growl*

It's been a while since I did something around here other than lurk and answer comments. Apparently getting a job completely nerfed anything resembling inspiration that I had. Though honestly it happened with my last job too. I got hired on to SmartBlast a week into NaNoWriMo, which completely tanked my project, despite all the anticipation and ramping up I had done for it. So now my account here has sat virtually untouched for about 2 months. Go me.

But I'm finally getting off my ass (and putting down the DS...) and getting inspired to do things again. I have some photos to post up (not many, I promise), and I'm planning on a new set of ponies (2 for now, there is still the potential for the big 30 Seconds to Mars set as well. But that one I need major help with.), and probably a mini or 2 as well in the next few weeks. It all depends on when my mats show up.

I doubt I'll be good for much of anything this weekend, as it's the big Zoe Jakes workshop weekend here (if you're into tribal fusion bellydance, look her up. She's made of awesome. And magic.). I'll be running registration both Saturday and Sunday in addition to taking both 4 hour workshops, and running the ticket table Saturday night.

<shameless plug>
If you're in the Chicago area, like tribal fusion bellydance and can get to the Viaduct Theater at Western and Belmont, come on down - not many seats left.
</shameless plug>

So I thoroughly expect to be dead come Sunday night. But it'll be worth it.

As for tonight...more program folding before class! ...That's about as much fun as it sounds, despite the exclamation point.
